Inspiration #2 Oak House Studio July challenge

Hi guys, here with some more inspiration for the Oak House Studio challenge over at the blog
You have a few days to get your entries in so come and join us.

Here's my inspiration for today...

For this project I used the Walesby Heart stamp. I randomly stamped the heart on to white card and embossed them with Oak House Studio gold detail embossing powder.

I stamped and embossed it again on to a separate piece of card and die cut it. I inked around the die cut and mounted it using 3D foam pads.

Thanks for popping by today, hope to see you over at the challenge.
Toodles for now.

Totall Gorjuss #246 - "bingo"

B-I-N-G-O BINGO!!!! Yeyyyy, this week at Totally Gorjuss we are playing bingo. For this challenge I chose flowers, ribbon and buttons to make a line on our bingo board.

You can check out the challenge blog here

Here is what I created...

I used Oak House Studio products to make this creation which were the Walesby Heart stamp and the fabulous Ink in a Bottle ink sprays which I am becoming addicted to!!!

I used a ready made paper mache box and gave it a couple of coats of gesso. I sprayed it with French Lavender and French Wine Ink in a Bottle ink sprays from Oak house Studio. I left it to air dry rather than force it to dry as I wanted to keep the large splodge marks that the spray had made. I really loved the coloured splats against the pure white when it was dry.

I stamped the Walesby Heart on to the top front corner of the box and heat embossed it using Oak House Studio gold detailed embossing powder. I stamped the image on to all the sides of the top of the box but used it as a background stamp so the heart shape was distorted and again embossed it.

I stamped the heart on to white linen card and heat embossed them using the gold powder and punched them out using a scalloped heart punch.

I inked and heat embossed three paper flowers and dyed some ribbon using the metallic gold ink spray from Oak House Studio. I arrange the ribbon, flowers and punched hearts in the opposite corner and added a metal heart button in the other corner on the top of the box to create the bingo line.

Inspiration #4 for Oak House Studio July Challenge

Hi folks, here with some more inspiration for the July challenge over at Oak House Studio.

The challenge finishes on the 31st July. Pop over the the blog for some more inspiration.

For this creation I used the clematis corner stamp. This is a beautiful stamp to add detail to corners.

I chose the wine Oak House Studio Colour Chemistry purple ink pad for this design.

Here is what I created...

I sprayed white card with french wine Oak House Studio 'ink in a bottle' spray just once. (How yummy is that one spray??!!)

I lightly stamped the clematis corner stamp in the two corners. I wanted a soft, distressed image on the bottom layer.

I stamped it again twice on a separate piece of card and watercoloured the flowers. I cut them out and decoupaged them on the stamped images.

Have a look on the website for all the products I've used.

Thanks for popping by - toodles.

This weeks stamp is the gorgeous Oak House Studio sunflower. I love this stamp, it is a huge design and so much can be done with it. But I love it as a simple one stamped flower design.

I stamped the sunflower on to watercolour cardstock with Oak House Studio daffodil Colour Chemistry ink pad. I watercoloured it with daffodil, valentine and pumpkin ink pads.

I then stamped the sunflower on to black card and embossed it with Oak House Studio gold detail embossing powder. I cut the watercoloured sunflower out and adhered it in the center over the embossed flower.

Inspiration #3 for Oak House Studio July Challenge

Hi folks, here with some more inspiration for the July challenge over at Oak House Studio.

The challenge finishes on the 31st July. Pop over the the blog for some more inspiration.

For this creation I used the double daisy stamp set. I love this stamp set as you get both stamps and they are huge. Great for background and fabulous if you just want that one daisy flower to stand out.

I chose purple for my colour theme so used the Oak House Studio Colour Chemistry purple ink pad.

Here is what I created...

I sprayed some white card with Oak House Studio french lavender and delicious damson 'ink in a bottle' sprays.
I stamped the open daisy in black ink then stamped the block daisy, off-set over the top in purple.

I cut the design approx 3/4 of the way down, opened it to leave a gap and adhered to white card. I then stamped the sentiment in the gap. I finished by inking the edges of the card.

Have a look on the website for all the products I've used.

Totally Gorjuss #245 - "butterflies"

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This weeks challenge is all about "butterflies".
As we know, I am a butterfly addict!!! I love butterflies and butterfly stamps. I just seem to be drawn to them and have to have them even though I know I have too many... Or can we never have too many??? mmmmmmm....

You can check out the challenge on the blog here.

Here is what I created for the challenge...

I used two heart grey board hearts as a base. They can be used as a double heart, laying one inside the other for a snug fit or separately as a hanging piece. I chose to create a double heart hanging for this piece.

First, I applied a couple of layers of gesso to the hearts then coloured them with Ink in a Bottle ink sprays from Oak House Studio. I chose purples and a smidge of blue as my colour pallet.

I stamped the hearts with my fav IndigoBlu background stamps - Itsy Bitsy Backgrounds. I love these to create little bits of texture, they are such cool patterns and great to fill in little spaces.

I also used the Oak House studio sprays to colour some book pages then dry rushed gesso over the top to create a white wash.
I tore the book pages up and wrapped them around the hearts in random places.

I stamped the butterflies from the IndigoBlu Wild Meadow stamp set on to white card using black ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I cut them out and sprayed them with the ink sprays then adhered them on to the hearts.
