Inspiration #4 for Oak House Studio July Challenge

Hi folks, here with some more inspiration for the July challenge over at Oak House Studio.

The challenge finishes on the 31st July. Pop over the the blog for some more inspiration.

For this creation I used the clematis corner stamp. This is a beautiful stamp to add detail to corners. 

I chose the wine Oak House Studio Colour Chemistry purple ink pad for this design. 


Here is what I created... 

I sprayed white card with french wine Oak House Studio 'ink in a bottle' spray just once. (How yummy is that one spray??!!)

I lightly stamped the clematis corner stamp in the two corners. I wanted a soft, distressed image on the bottom layer. 

I stamped it again twice on a separate piece of card and watercoloured the flowers. I cut them out and decoupaged them on the stamped images.

Inspiration #3 for Oak House Studio July Challenge

Hi folks, here with some more inspiration for the July challenge over at Oak House Studio.

For this creation I used the double daisy stamp set. I love this stamp set as you get both stamps and they are huge. Great for background and fabulous if you just want that one daisy flower to stand out. 

I chose purple for my colour theme so used the Oak House Studio Colour Chemistry purple ink pad.

Here is what I created... 

I sprayed some white card with Oak House Studio french lavender and delicious damson 'ink in a bottle' sprays. 
I stamped the open daisy in black ink then stamped the block daisy, off-set over the top in purple. 

I cut the design approx 3/4 of the way down, opened it to leave a gap and adhered to white card. I then stamped the sentiment in the gap. I finished by inking the edges of the card.

Inspiration for Oak House Studio July Challenge

Hi guys, thought I'd pop by with some inspiration for this months challenge over at the Oak House Studio blog. 
Remember, you have until the end of the month to enter the challenge.

Here is what I've been up to... 

For this project I used the tags from Oak House Studio. I love these tags, just the right size and amazing quality card. 
The even come with the little rings around the punched hole to add some detail. 

I stamped the Walesby Heart using yummy chocolate colour chemistry ink  on to three tags then embossed them using copper detail embossing powder. 
I also inked the edges of the tags and embossed them with the same ink and powder. 

I stamped the Walesby Flourish stamp randomly on to white card to create a background. I also embossed it with the copper detail powder. 

I stamped the sentiment in the corner to finish.

Oak House Studio July challenge

Hi guys. The new challenge is happening over at the Oak House Studio blog, this months challenge theme is 'Happily Ever After' and it runs till the end of the month. 
There are loads of fabulous stamps over on the website to chose from to participate in this months challenge. 

Here is what I created...

For this project I used the gorgeous ATC linen background stamp which I defo think is my firm fav!!! Its so versatile. 

I stamped it all the way along the left edge of the card with the lush yummy chocolate colour chemistry ink pad. 

I used the Walesby Heart stamp in the bottom corner and embossed it with the scrummy copper detail embossing powder. 

I stamped the sentiment in the same ink, mounted it and inked around the edges and added some organza ribbon to finish.

OAK HOUSE STUDIO - "Something Blue" Inspiration #1

Hi all, a quick reminder of this months challenge over at Oak House Studio. The challenge runs till the end of June, so there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.... come on, have a go.

Before we get on with the challenge inspiration.... This is a bit of a landmark for me..... THIS IS MY 100th BLOG POST!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! And yes over the past 100 posts, I have ripped my hair out several times and been tested to the max. I started this blog not even a year ago knowing absolutely nothing.... and lets face it, there have been some dodgy posts and some even dodgier than dodgy! But I am so happy that I am spending my 100th blog post as part of the team at Oak House Studio. Thank you Lynnda!!!

Now back to this months challenge....

Here is another one of my creation for this months challenge.

I played around with the Oak House Studio Triple Butterfly set for this one. As we know, I adore butterflies so this stamp set wasn't a hard one to choose.

I stamped the butterfly on to white cardstock with Oak House studio Colour Chemistry 'Midnight' ink a number of times concentrating in the bottom left corner. I coloured the butterflies with 'Midnight' and 'Powder Blue' ink using a waterbrush. 

I stamped a couple of exra butterflies on to card and cut them out. I coloured them the same way then sprayed Oak House Studio 'Ink In A Bottle 'Glorious Gold' spray over the top then mounted them using 3D foam pads. 

To finish, I stamped the 'spread your wings' sentiment in the top corner.

OAK HOUSE STUDIO..... "Something Blue"

Good morning folks.... Well, today is the day, my 1st DT challenge with Oak House Studio. 
This months theme is "Something Blue". 

A week or so ago, I was sent a box full of scrummy Oak House Studio goodies from the lovely Lynnda Worsnop to play with and came up with some lovely creations. 

I loved playing with Oak House Studio's sprays. As we know, I am a mucky pup, and I love it!! So playing with these sprays... I was having a ball.

Here's a bit of info on the fab Oak House Studio sprays.... Oak House Studio has been making spray inks for some time and are sold with a screw top lid and optional spray top. This means you can recycle and use your old spray bottles, you 
can use the screw on top to keep your ink safe whilst you clean through your spray top too.
Spray tops are also sold individually if you need to replace the tops on your glimmer mists and  the wonderful pipettes are also available to create your own colours.

Being a stampaholic, its important for me to find a good stamp, with a great design but that can be used in many different ways. 

Lynnda's stamps are produced from a specially created silicon based polymer using a laser which is extremely accurate - so what is drawn is what you get!!! They seem to like every kind of ink, sprays and paints, along with clay materials and because they are silicon.... yyyyeeeyyyy, we know what that means..... MELT POT!!!!! 





Back to the June challenge.... I made a few "something blue" projects for this challenge which I will be sharing with you over the next couple of weeks.

So.... here is my 1st creation for the "something blue" challenge.

I stamped the Walesby Flourish Stamp on to white card using Powder Blue Oak House Studio Colour Chemistry Pigment ink then stamped over the top with Midnight ink using second generation stamping. I mounted it onto a piece of cardstock coloured with Powder blue ink. I coloured another piece of smaller cardstock with the same ink. I stamped in to white air dry clay with the Oak House Studio Thoresby Background Square Positive stamp and cut it into four to create a mosaic tile effect. Then mounted it in the centre of the card.
