Butterfly Tree with Tando

Hi all and welcome to another Tando post. The theme this week is Trees.

I used the Tando 3 Panel Wall Art - Trees, Butterflies and Flowers and lots of mixed media.

I first adhered the tree branches on to the 3 wall panels then used the Random Circles Mask with DecoArt Texture Sand Paste to create the background.

I added the flowers and the butterflies from the panels pack and added some more butterflies from the butterfly grab bag on and around the branches. I also added some small birdcages and a lantern from the lantern set.

I then painted DecoArt Crackle Paint of the tree branches to add more texture.

Here are the Tando products I used which are all available on the Tando Website

Becca In The Blue.

Well, I'm still catching up with mi bloggin' so here comes another one I did a while ago... This is Becca.

I like the simpleness of this stamp and wanted to keep it that way by not adding any colour and just stamping in black. So I focused on the background instead.

I used lots of mixed media on the background pieces - paint, gilding flakes, gesso and stamping to create a distressed edgy but flat surface.

After applying black and white gesso to a bookpage with a palette knife and drying, I stamped the Becca stamp with black gesso to give it more of a painterly look.

Bits and pieces I used...

* IndigoBlu stamps - Becca, Limor Webber Circles
* IndigoBlu English Cottage Artist Acrylic Paint
* IndigoBlu Mega Flakes
* IndigoBlu Black Gee-Soo-Good
* IndigoBlu White Gee-Soo-Good
* Versafine Ink
* Bookpages

Layers, layers, layers

Hi all and welcome to today's post. I've got a bit behind with blogging lately so I'm backtracking a bit...

This post is all about layering. I chose some of the lovely papers from IndigoBlu to play with. The papers come in a variety of sizes - 12" x 12", 6" x 6", postcard size 6" x 4" and business card size approx 3.5" x 2". These papers include the most beautiful vintage, distressed images. I've never really been a fan of ready made papers but these are just lush.

I chose a piece of the 12" x 12" paper, one of the postcard sizes and one of the smaller business card size ones. I distressed them with IndigoBlu paints and white gesso so they all looked similar. I also screwed them up to add creases, ripped the edges and sanded areas.

I wanted a layered area to be the focus point of the piece so added lots of stamping with ink, stamping with gilding flakes, crackle paste, bits of sting, paper, a resin frame, floral arranging sticks, paper flowers and a metal butterfly.

I'm not entirely sure what I think about this to be honest...but I'm glad I got over the 12" x 12" fear that initially came over me.

Bits and pieces I used...

* IndigoBlu stamps - Itsy Bitsy Backgrounds, Honeycomb Background.
* IndigoBlu English Cottage Artist Acrylic Paints - Postbox Red, Burning Bonfire, Townhouse Teal.
* IndigoBlu Gee-Soo-Good White.
* IndigoBlu Mixed Media Papers.
* IndigoBlu Mega Flakes - Copper Kettle.
* Kroma Crackle.
* Black Ink.
* Resin frame.
* Paper flowers.
* Floral arranging twigs.
* Jute string and cotton thread.

Morning folks!! Welcome to another post as part of the super talented Tando team with my take on the theme
this week which is 3D.

After still recovering from the fabulous Tando Ministry of Mixology Weekend Workshop, here is my creation.

I used the small straight edge arches make a continuous standing frame. You can add anything you want too these frames, photographs, cut out images are stamping.

One the smaller frames I used the Tando distressed sequins mini mask with some texture paste. Then painted them with DecoArt colbalt teal hue and rubbed over a small amount of DecoArt metallic gold paint.

On the inside of the bigger frames I used DecoArt crackle paint and left it to dry then stamped over the top. I used the same colbalt teal hue on the borders of the big arches.

To finish, I added some eyelets and jute string to tie them together to make them stand.

Christmas Frame with Tando

Hi all, I'm here today's with a creation for the Tando Creative Team.

Today is the end of the Anything Goes week so I thought seeing as we are now in November we can start thinking about Christmas.
Yeeeeyyyy, Christmas is coming!!! Although it Christmas comes in July for us crafters we still never seem to be prepared when the big day arrives!!! Or is that just me???

Today I would like to share with you the 8" x 8" frame with stand I've created with a Christmas twist.

I painted the frame and added a thick layer of Kroma Krackle mixed with white Gesso. When the cracks where a suitable size I brushed over a good layer of matte medium to stop the cracking process and to protect the layer.

I used lots of Tando Minis pieces to add embellishments to the frame.

Here are all the bits and pieces I used available on the Tando Website....
8" x 8" frame with stand
Holly flourish
Reindeer trotting small
Minis - snowflakes
Minis - stars
Minis - wonky trees
