Love Heart 'Heart' @ The Artistic Stamper

Hi folks and welcome to my post for
This month's theme is 'Red' and this week I went for a home deco project.

Here is my creation...

I had a rummage around my 'things to alter' box in my craft room and dug out a metal heart Christmas decoration.

I painted the heart with a good couple of coats of white gesso to give it some texture.

Next, I added ArtDeco crackle paint around the edges on the surface of the heart then painted it with ArtDeco Premium acrylic paints.

I then stamped the Heart stamp from The Artistic Stamper directly on to the metal heart.

To finish, I added some jute string to the top of the heart.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please leave a comment if you like, I love to hear what you think.
Toodles for now,

Anything Goes @ Tando

Hi folks and welcome to my blog post. This week over at Tando is an 'Anything Goes' week.

With it being nearly Christmas.... And you can never have enough Christmas Trees can you??? So....

Here is my creation...

I first painted all the pieces with white Gesso. Then mixed a bluey green colour using DecoArt Fluid Acrylics - Cobalt Turquoise Hue, Phthaol Green-Blue and Primary Cyan

When the first layer of paint was dry, I dry brushed the tree with DecoArt Primary Cyan Media Fluid Acrylic.

I then randomly stamped areas of the tree with Broken China Distress Oxide ink and one of the stamps from the Mini Backgrounds #1 stamp set from The Artistic Stamper.

I took a selection of Tando Mini's including parcels and bows, ice skates, candles, brush stroke trees and snowflakes
I applied clear embossing ink on the front and back of each mini and heat embossed with Stampendous Shabby Green Embossing Enamel
I did the same with the star on top of the tree.

When the enamel had cooled, I adhered the mini's to the tree.

I then put all the pieces together to make the tree stand. To finish, I added some battery powered lights to the centre of the tree.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Crackle Week @ Tando

Hi folks and welcome to my blog post for Tando. This week, the theme is 'crackle'.
Everyone loves a bit of crackle don't they???

Here is my creation...

This week I used another one of the Tando long tags. (Yes, I am definitely addicted to these Tando tags!) And one of the hearts from the Tando grab bag of hearts

First, I added a layer of card stock with a wooden pattern over the front side of the tag with PVA glue and let dry. And painted the heart with DecoArt white gesso.

I added DecoArt crackle paint all over the surface of the heart and around the edge of the tag.

I used DecoArt texture sand paste and the Tando 4 x 4 distressed sequins mini stencil on the heart and the tag

Then used the paste around the edge of the tag.

I painted the tag and the heart using DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic paint. Then I added gold metallic paint on the heart.

Thanks for popping by to view my blog post. Leave a comment if you wish, I love to hear your thoughts.
Toodles for now,
