VALENTINES DAY - Digitally Sweet challenge #75

It's Valentines Day and love is definitely in

the air this week at Digitally Sweet...

It is however, a sad day as this will be my last posting for the Digitally Sweet team. I have had a lovely time being part of the team but I want to get back to 'crafting for me' and at the moment I just don't have the time. As I have two young girls and my own time is extremely precious and I want to spend more of the little I have doing 'my' thing. I will popping by from time to time so I won't say this is the end....

Back to this weeks challenge... sponsored by the adorable Lunagirl. I took a few of the different image we had on offer and played around with them.

And came up with this...

I used the background paper and sanded it with a bit of force to create a vintage effect including a few rips and tears then inked over it with some Distress Inks.

I took the portrait image and cut around it and again inked round the edges.

I used the roses, which were joined together, printed them four times and cut round them individually. I inked round some put left the others as they were.

I took the heart image, cut round it and sanded it. Then scored it at 0.5 cm intervals and concertina folded it.

I added two piece of gathered lace across the corner and inked over the top of it.

I added the portrait to the background, arranged the roses around the outside and added the concertina heart.

I have had a great time working with all the ladies at Digitally Sweet and I definitely have learned a lot!!

Thanks for popping by today. Leave me a crafty comment if you wish....

I would like to enter the following challenges with this creation:
