Simply Betty Stamps - October Fanpage Challenge - Voodoo Corinne

Here is my entry for the Simply Betty challenge using Voodoo Corinne on the Simply Betty stamps blog.

I chose Voodoo Corinne because I loved the idea of being able to create a real hand made voodoo doll!!

Firstly, I coloured in the image with ProMarkers concentrating more on the gorgeous flame orange hair. 
I mounted the image on to black card as it showed off the colour of the hair more.
I then matted and layered on to orange paper which I inked around the edged with purple ink, then on to orange striped paper.


How I made the voodoo doll - I glued together wooden coffee stirrers to form a stick man then wrapped white string around and around to for a 3D doll form. I then inked it with Old Paper, Vintage Photo and Pumice Stone Distress Inks. 

I decided to cut off the legs of the doll as it was too big for the project but decided it looked better with the hanging string.


I stuck pins in to the doll and attached it to the corner of the card. I added black spiders around the image and doll to finish. 



Ingredients -
* ProMarker -
Hair - bright orange,honeyvcomb sunflower, 
Skin - ivory, satin.
Outfit - amethyst, lilac, pear green
* coffee stirrers.
* string.
* Distress Inks - Dusty Concord, Old Paper, Vintage Photo, Pumice Stone.
* 3 red pins.
* black plastic spiders.
