Use Stampendous Products @ Tando

Hi folks and welcome to my blog post for this weeks Tando challenge. The theme is "Stampendous products".

Here is my creation...

For this challenge I used Tando mini printer tray 152mm x 152mm with stand. I love these mini printer trays as they are so versatile to use and you can add anything and everything to it to decorate.

First, I glued all the layers of the printer tray together apart from the flat back piece, then cut out areas of the frame to create a more open and abstract frame.

I applied some DecoArt crackle paint along the frame edges in random areas and added some patches of DecoArt texture sand paste randomly.
This was to add more texture to the frame.

When it was dried I applied DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic paints. When the paint dried, I then added some of the Stampendous Fran-tage Embossing enamel from the bronze Fran-tage kit. I painted the background of the frame using a wash of the colours I used on the frame.

I stamped the Stampendous 'Look In To My Eyes' Owl rubber stamp on to some watercolour card stock with black ink. I coloured the image with Artiste Watercolour dual tip pens.

After colouring the image, I tore around it and washed the torn edges of the card with a watered down Paynes Grey so the colour of the white card wasn't too harsh on the background.

I adhered the owl image inside the background of the frame and adhered the frame on top.

Everything I have used on this project is available on the Tando Website.

Thanks for popping by,
hope to see you again soon.
Toodles for now,

Anything Goes @ Tando Creative

Hi folks and welcome to this weeks Tando post. This weeks theme is "Anything Goes".

(The creation I have for today's post, I actually did a few weeks ago (or last year...)for the Andy Skinner/Nathalie Kalbach week where we had to create using products from these two artists. However, Blogger decided to update when I was blogging and I couldn't get the post to publish. So, I've decided to share it this week instead.)

Here is my creation...

I used the Printer Tray Style Clock from Tando and gave the different elements a coat of DecoArt white gesso. I used Andy Skinner's 12" x 3" Distressed Digits mask in the centre of the clock front, and applied DecoArt Media White Modeling Paste through the mask.

I then painted the background of the clock with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Colbalt Teal and used Green Gold on the front frame of the clock.

On the background of the clock I used the Nathalie Kalbach 'Kaffee Klatsch' rubber stamp set from Stampendous and stamped on to the background using glue. I then added some gilding flakes to give the background some depth and texture along with some sparkle.

I then used the Andy Skinner Industrial rubber stamp set from Stampendous to stamp the crackles using black ink

All the products I have used are at the bottom of this post and are all available on the Tando Creative Website.

Thanks for popping by my blog today
Toodles for now...

"Tag It" @ Tando Creative

Hello folks and welcome to my 1st blog post of 2017 and I am back with the Tando Creative Team. I thoroughly enjoyed being a team member for Tando in 2016 and I'm so excited to be back for the new year.

So.... Let's get started with the challenge over at Tando Creative.

This weeks challenge theme is "Tag It". But me being me... I decided to do three tags - hence the title of this post. OOOpppssss... Well....

Here is my creation...

I took three pieces of Tando Greyboard 5.5" x 3.5" and gave them all a layer of DecoArt white Gesso on front and back of each tag.

I used Andy Skinner's Creativity 8" x 8" mask and the DecoArt white modeling paste on the tags, choosing the words 'imagine', your destiny' and 'live life'. Then added DecoArt texture sand paste to create some texture around the edges of the tags.

I also added some random smears of DecoArt crackle paint for added texture.

I wanted to add some bright bursts of colour and (if you look back through my blog posts) I love a  blue/purple colour palette, so I'm trying to step outside the box and out of my comfort zone. Hey, no time like the present. So, my colour palette consisted of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics English Red Oxide, Paynes Grey and Naphthol Red Light.

Once satisfied with the background colour, I dry brushed white Gesso over the words and areas of the texture sand paste.

I then stamped images on the three tags using the Stampendous 'Skeleton Lady' rubber stamp.

I used the Stampendous Frantage bronze Embossing Enamel kit to create a bit more texture and some areas of sparkle.

To finish, I punched a hole in each one of the tag corners and fastened them together using some silver organza ribbon, black cord and some thin chain.

I hope you like my 1st post of the new year.
