Make a Card week @ Tando

Hi folks, welcome to this weeks creation for Tando. The theme is 'Make a Card'.

As we are all very aware, Christmas is just around the corner and yes, I've failed miserably at sticking to one of my New Years Resolutions which was to start making Christmas cards early in the year. OOOppppppssss... I'm ashamed to say this is my first official card for Christmas.
But anyway, I'm glad to say I'm very happy with it.

Here is my first official Christmas card and my creation for Tando...

I started with a 6 x 6 inch piece of Anna Marie Designs white super smooth piece of card.

I took the Tando Joined Snowflakes mask and laid it at an angle over the bottom of the card, then inked through Evergreen Bough Distress Ink with a Inkylicious Ink Duster brush.

I randomly stamped sections of one of the stamps from Andy Skinner's Industrial Stamps set from Stampendous with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.
I then used the Bubbles mask from Andy Skinner and used DecoArt White Modeling Paste in random areas over the top of the Joined Snowflakes and Industrial stamping. I rubbed Imagination Crafts Cobalt Alchemy Wax just over the bubbles.

I took the Tando Mini's Music and painted them with white gesso. When they were dry I gently rubbed over Imagination Crafts Perido Alchemy Wax to give it a shimmer.

I then used the Tando Mini's Reindeers and painted them with DecoArt English Red Oxide. I finished them with a touch of Inca Gold Alchemy Wax.

To finish the card, I stamped the Jingle Bells sentiment from Creative Expression Circle Sentiments Set on to a separate piece of card. Then cut it out and roughed up the edges with a pair of scissors. I lightly inked the sentiment with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink and inked the edges darker and adhered with a foam pad.

Here is everything I used...

Spooky @ Tando

Hi folks and welcome to Spooky week at Tando. Halloween is just around the corner and of course, we have to take the opportunity to create something spooky and ghoulish.

Here is my creation...

I used the Tando Round 3D box kit for my spooky inspired creation. I though of creating a basket to put Halloween treats in for the visitors.

I first used the Tando stitches group mask and Andy Skinner's snake web mask with DecoArt white modeling paste and alternated the stencils while alternating pieces of the round 3D box.

I then put the round 3D box together, which was a bit tricky, but once a couple of the pieces were in, it was easy peasy to construct.

I added the Halloween words, Tando Minis skulls and pumpkins, the large cobweb and the spiders. I added DecoArt texture sand paste to the spiders and the Halloween words, then painted the whole thing with DecoArt black gesso.

I chose DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic paints Cadmium Orange Hue, Blue Green Light and Green Gold to paint the box.
I continued to add the paint in sections until I was happy with the colours.

To finish, I dry brushed areas with DecoArt white gesso.

Thanks for popping by.
Toodles for now...

Autumn Leaves @ Tando

Hi Folks and welcome to this weeks Tando post. The theme this week is Autumn Leaves.

I must admit, I'm a huge fan of Autumn. The beautiful colours, animated sounds and textures that Autumn brings....

With that in mind, I wanted to incorporate all these in to this weeks theme.

Here is my creation...

I first glued all the pieces of the mini heart printer tray together. Then cut some of the frame to make the areas larger. I then added a layer of DecoArt texture sand paste to the background piece.
I painted the inside background with DecoArt Media fluid acrylic paints.

I then applied a layer of DecoArt Media crackle paint to the outside frame.
I gather all the leaves from the Tando products and started to layer.
I love how Tando products can be used individually or can be layered to create an extreme 3D piece.

So, I arranged and re-arranged the leaves until I was happy with the layout. Then adhered them to the frame.

I then added some more texture sand paste to some of the leaves. I also added some lace, hessian and threads to some of the leaves to create more height and texture.

I mixed a palette of autumn colours with DecoArt Media fluid acrylics and painted the leaves.

To finish, I added some micro beads to create more texture.

All of the products I have used are listed below and are available on the Tando Website.
